School Administration
The principal's view of the whole school — enrolment, attendance, collections and staffing on one screen.
- Live enrolment & attendance
- Collections vs outstanding
- Staff, subjects & workload
- Events calendar & SMS log
Masomo 360 runs admissions, exams, CBC assessment, timetables and parent communication — then keeps a real double-entry ledger behind it, so your bursar closes the books and files with the Auditor General from the same system.
Built around the standards Kenyan schools are actually held to
Nobody wades through menus meant for someone else. Permissions, dashboards and reports change with the role — while the underlying data stays one shared record.
The principal's view of the whole school — enrolment, attendance, collections and staffing on one screen.
A bursar's workspace with a proper chart of accounts, not a fee spreadsheet bolted onto a student list.
Mark entry, schemes of work and class analysis for teachers; whole-school academic oversight for the DOS.
Results, fee balances and attendance on any phone — plus a WhatsApp bot for parents who prefer to just ask.
Subject teachers enter marks against their own classes only. The moment an exam is published, Masomo 360 has already computed means, grades, stream and overall positions, subject rankings and the movement against the previous exam.
Not a checkbox. Masomo 360 carries a full CBE workspace — formative and summative assessments, per-learner progress, learning pathways and parent activities — running side by side with your traditional exam records during the transition.
Configure days, breaks, classrooms, subjects, teachers and constraints — the system shows you a readiness score before it runs. Every generation is saved as a version, so you can regenerate freely and keep the one that works.
Every payment, expense, payroll run and bank transfer posts to a real double-entry ledger with a proper chart of accounts. Which means the statements your board and the Auditor General ask for are already written.
Trial balance, income and expenditure, balance sheet, cash flow, budget vs actual, and the schedule of financial assets and liabilities — all live, all reconciling back to the same entries, all exportable.
Upload the CSV or Excel your bank exports. Masomo 360 matches each line against your journal entries, shows the reconciliation percentage and the unreconciled difference, and leaves you to resolve only what genuinely needs a human.
Salary grades, monthly payroll runs, individual payslip PDFs, and statutory deductions calculated and tracked through to remittance — each with its own due date and paid status.
Modules are switched on per school. Start with what you need this term and add the rest when you're ready — the data is already connected.
Admissions, profiles, class and stream assignment, guardians and the full student lifecycle through to transfer or graduation.
Daily and per-lesson registers, present/absent/partial tracking, and term-long attendance rates per class and student.
Catalogue, copies and availability, student borrowing and returns, overdue tracking and loan history.
Termly schemes per subject and class, tracked against the timetable so coverage is visible to the DOS.
Exam and classroom seating plans laid out visually, printed per room before the exam starts.
Bulk or targeted messaging with credit tracking, plus a WhatsApp bot parents can ask for results and fee balances.
Departmental requests raised, approved and turned into purchase orders — tied to the budget line they draw from.
Stores and stock movement, plus a fixed asset register with depreciation feeding the balance sheet.
Approved budgets by vote head, drawn down live against actual spend with variance flags and nearing-limit warnings.
School calendar, teacher duty rotas and event notices pushed to the people who need them.
Incidents, actions taken and follow-up logged against the student record, visible to the class teacher and parent.
Store, version and release exam papers and marking schemes to the right teachers at the right time.
Masomo 360 is one responsive application, not a stripped-down mobile version with half the features missing. A teacher checks tomorrow's lessons on the walk to class, marks a register from the back of the room, and a parent opens the same report card their principal signed — on a KES 8,000 Android phone, over 3G.
We do the setup and the migration. Your job is to tell us how your school actually works, and to show up for training.
We map your classes, streams, subjects, grading scales, fee structures and chart of accounts to the system.
Students, staff, historical results and opening balances imported from whatever you have now — including spreadsheets. Included, not billed extra.
Separate sessions for administration, the bursar's office and teaching staff. Each group learns only their own screens.
You start the term on Masomo 360, with us on call through the first exam cycle and the first fee run.
Yes, and it's part of onboarding rather than a separate charge. We import students, staff, historical exam results and opening fee balances from Excel, CSV or an export from your current system. Where the data is messy, we clean and map it with you before go-live rather than after.
No. Modules are enabled per school. Plenty of schools begin with exams, results and fees, then switch on the ledger, banking, budgets and payroll for the following financial year. Because it's one system, nothing needs re-entering when you do.
It has to, and it does. Most schools are running both right now. Traditional KCSE-style exams and CBE competency assessments live side by side, and a learner can carry both records without one interfering with the other.
Through STK push and Paybill integration. A payment posts to the student's ledger in real time, generates a receipt, updates the outstanding balance shown on the report card, and appears as a line on the bank statement your bursar later reconciles — without anyone keying it in twice.
It's yours. Every report exports to PDF or Excel, and we will produce a full structured export of your school's records on request. There is no lock-in clause that holds your student history hostage.
Pages are deliberately kept light so they load on slow connections, and the system is usable over 3G on low-cost Android phones. It is a cloud application, so a working connection is required — but we design for the bandwidth Kenyan schools actually have, not for fibre.
Pricing depends on enrolment and which modules you switch on. We quote after the scoping call so the number reflects your school rather than a generic tier. Ask on the demo and we'll be direct about it.
A 30-minute demo, with your own classes and fee structure loaded — not a generic sales deck.
